An Amtrak train carrying Republican members of congress collided with a garbage truck killing one passenger. None of the congressmen were severely injured, however, CNN writer Jonathan Tasini thought this was great! He even proceeded to thank God for the deadly train crash.
“Wow, btwn train full of Goopers hitting truck and this, God is working hard today to clean up the stink. Thank her. #TreyGowdy #goptrainwreck,” wrote Tasini after hearing about the crash and Trey Gowdy retiring. Although he often speaks on CNN, he does not get paid for them. He exposed this information when people wanted him fired.
““Let me save you time. I don’t work for CNN. They don’t pay me. They can’t fire me. I apologized nonetheless,” said Tasini. Here is his “apology”. “Apologies people. It was poked out in midst of convo w 2 colleagues on the deep racism/hypocrisy/criminality promoted by GOP or as GOPer Amanda Carpenter says, gaslighting of America. Deleting,” he wrote.
The depressing thing is that Tasini isn’t the only one to make comments like these. Famous horror writter Stephen King made similar comments. “A trainload of Republicans on their way to a pricey retreat hit a garbage truck. My friend Russ calls that karma,” tweeted King.
Eventually he clarified. “Of COURSE sorry the truck driver died.” And then “A rather thoughtless tweet from me concerning the train-truck crash, for which I apologize (if one is necessary). It should be pointed out, too, that those Republican politicians, who can be heartless when they vote, immediately got out to help,” he tweeted.
