After a shooter opened fire on a country music festival, killing 58 and injuring hundreds, one family was visited by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in the hospital.
The Melanson family was at the concert when the shooting began. The mother, Rose-Marie, took a bullet and is still recovering.
Stephanie and Paige, two of her daughters, and her husband, Steve, appeared on CNN and explained their experience meeting the Trumps:

Before he [Trump] could finish talking, she [Melania] got up and just beelined over to us and just hugged me and told me, ‘Your mom is strong. She’s a fighter. She’ll be OK. She’s going to make it.’”
They weren’t the only people who felt this way about Trump after meeting him. Thomas Gunderson was shot in the leg but still stood for Trump when he entered his room. He appeared on “Hannity,” which can be seen below.
