While some parents insist their child would never cause any trouble or be disruptive, one Ohio kid’s parents recently owned up to their child’s behavior by way of an epic Christmas gift.
Paul and Mary Sommers of Beavercreek told WHIO-TV in Dayton they not only wanted to do something nice for the teachers at Ascension School in Kettering, they wanted to give them a gift they’d truly appreciate.
So they gave the teachers a put a picture of their son, Jake, an eighth-grader, on bottles of wine.
The best part of the bottles, however, was the hilarious caption.
“Our child might be the reason you drink, so enjoy this bottle on us,” the caption read.
“How many coffee mugs does a teacher need? But who doesn’t need a glass of wine after teaching a kid like mine?” the mother said.
Mary Sommers said while her son is not necessarily “bad,” he is “that kid” — a trait that she says he received from her.
“My four older siblings were good kids and it was hard to live up to that, so I didn’t try,” she recalled. “(Jake) always has something to say. He’s that kid.”
Jake’s older brother, DJ, brought the hilarious gift to national attention after he tweeted about it.
“My parents always get our elementary school teachers a present around Christmas. Typically something small like a candle or flower to say ‘thank you,’” he wrote. “This year they got them bottles of wine & replaced the labels with their own with my brother on them … Happy holidays.”

Happy, and hilarious, indeed.
The tweet has since gone viral, with more than 7,700 retweets and 44,000 likes as of Saturday afternoon.
After a long semester teaching 13-year-olds, these teachers probably needed a bottle of wine to unwind over the holidays.
It’s only fitting that the parents of one of the students who may have been causing that stress were the ones to bestow the gift.
