Joe Biden Finally Visits Southern Border, Gets Greeted by Angry Protesters Calling For His Impeachment

During the first half of his presidency, Joe Biden stayed away from the southern border, designating Vice President Harris as the official in charge of handling the crisis. As Harris remained physically absent from the border states, the White House press corporations began repeating that there was in fact no border crisis.

Despite the pleas of border states for assistance and the behavior of the governors of Texas and Florida in diverting the massive flow of illegal immigrants to other self-declared “sanctuary states,” the federal government continues to insist there is no problem.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has repetitively asserted that the southern border is “not open,” despite being criticized for making such a claim in the face of video evidence and testimonies indicating the contrary. The recent decision that Title 42 should not be repealed until next summer and the court’s remark that while the pandemic is over, there are now “other issues” in border checks that the policy addresses, and therefore time is needed to determine what policy should replace it, are insufficient to convince Jean-Pierre that an actual emergency exists.

In December, Jean-Pierre famously stated, ” I want to be very clear here. The fact is that the removal of Title 42 does not mean the border is open. Anyone who suggests otherwise is simply doing the work of these smugglers who, again, are spreading misinformation which is very dangerous.”  In addition to the fact that Title 42 was not repealed for this reason, Jean-Pierre claims that smugglers themselves are boasting that the border is accessible and that the evidence that it is is in collusion with smugglers.

Pradheep J. Shanker, a contributor to National Review, tweeted: “This is gaslighting. The border is more open today [than} it has been in the last decade. Don’t believe me? See Biden’s own DHS stats that confirm this.”

Still, in the early days of the second half of his term as president, Biden has voluntarily approached the actual border. On Sunday afternoon, Vice President Joe Biden made a brief visit to the southern border, spending a short time in El Paso, Texas. His visit did not resolve the issue of border security, as he was met by hundreds of people who demanded his impeachment.

Protesters carried placards that read “IMPEACH 46” and “Trump 2024” It was Biden’s first trip as vice president. Biden walked alongside police officers for four hours while inspecting entry points. The border patrol demonstrated to the president how they conduct vehicle searches.

However, according to those who deal with the situation on a daily basis, Biden failed to identify the problem areas where illegal entry is the greatest concern. Biden only visited legal entry points.

Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, told Fox News that Biden failed to visit a number of vitally important locations. “We do not observe illegal immigration at the ports of entry along the entire southwest border, despite the fact that they are visible. We’re observing illegal immigration between entry points,” he said “That’s the Border Patrol. That’s the component of CBP that handles all of this. He did not have any scheduled visits with them.”

“You’re never going to be able to develop true policies and programs and operations unless you’re willing to see exactly what is going on. And he refused to do that,” Judd said.
