She’s had it with this! Tulsi Gabbard, a well-known figure in the country as a Democrat presidential candidate, has decided to leave the insane Democrat Party. She is definitely giving up on the entire party because she is too sane. When Gabbard demonstrated during debates that she is definitely not like other Democrats, she defied the radical leftist narrative that she is one of the few likeable Democrats left in 2020.
Gabbard is described in her biography as a political analyst and officer in the United States Army Reserve who represented Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021. Gabbard was both the first voting Samoan-American and the first Hindu member of Congress.
According to a story from Just The News on Monday, “Gabbard, of Hawaii and a military veteran, made the announcement on Twitter in a post that includes a roughly one-minute-long video in which she talks about her reasons for leaving the party,”
In a statement, Gabbard said, “I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism,”
Her departure is not entirely unexpected because Gabbard has long been a vocal opponent of the Democratic Party, making her a well-liked figure among Republicans.
Gabbard brilliantly demolished the Democratic Party in her little video and exhorted people to stand with her:
“I’m calling on my fellow common-sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that the so-called woke Democratic party ideologues are taking our country- then I invite you to join me.”

In a post on her Substack that she published after her Twitter video, Gabbard expanded on her choice. As an excerpt from that entry:
I cherish this nation. My inspiration comes from the God-given rights to freedom, life, and liberty that are written in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. In response to the call to duty, I took an oath, promising to spend the rest of my life in public service and in uniform protecting and preserving those liberties.
I developed a great appreciation for our house, water, and other natural resources as a result of growing up in Hawaii. So, at the age of 21, I made the decision to run for the Hawaii State House in order to be in a position to defend the environment. Prior to then, I was not politically affiliated, but I had to decide which party to join as I prepared to file my election paperwork.
Democrats who opposed the Vietnam War and those who spoke up for Hawaii’s plantation workers who were being mistreated and exploited by powerful landowners served as inspiration for me while I conducted my research. I was pulled to the principles of a broad-minded Democratic Party that stood out for working men and women — the little guy — after being inspired by leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy. The Republican Party, in contrast, appeared to be an organization that supported powerful elites and big corporations. So I joined the Democratic Party and was a member for more than 20 years; I was an independent Democrat, yes, but I was still a member.
I am unable to continue to support the Democratic Party of today because it has been taken over by an elitist cabal of war mongers who are cowardly woke, who actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms protected by the Constitution, who demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, who believe in open borders, who weaponize the police, and who divide us by racializing every issue.
We are on the verge of a nuclear exchange thanks to the pro-war Democratic Party. The party is run by warmongers who don’t understand or care about the cost of war or who pays the price. They are fully enmeshed in the military industrial complex. The Democratic Party elite, led by President Biden, have brought us dangerously close to nuclear Armageddon, raising the possibility of a second global war and the end of civilization as we know it. The greatest existential danger that we currently face is this.
